Bob Whitley is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham in 1966. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham  and graduated in 1970 with a degree in History and Secondary Education.

After teaching High School History for a year, Bob began his  Military Service in the United States Army National Guard. Subsequent to graduation from college he became a manager for a large paint distributor and was later hired by his largest customer as his Superintendent in 1975.

Bob Whitley began his business Bob Whitley Decorating, Inc. in 1977. Word of mouth has always been his preferred method of advertisement. His work has been featured in The Birmingham News, Southern Living, Portico and many other publications. One of his proudest projects was the restoration of the Birmingham Downtown Public Library -- "a work of art and history combined".

Over the last 36 years Bob has  selectively hired only the most professional and quality workmen available to make the standard of work the best in the Birmingham area. He has compiled a fine team of artistic painters and talented master carpenters. Bob works for customers and with individual professional interior designers.
